Grass-Fed Beef Tallow

Grass-Fed Beef Tallow

The biocompatible base your skin already knows

Rendered from 100% grass-fed cattle, beef tallow is molecularly similar to human sebum — making it one of the most bioavailable skin ingredients in existence. Rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, K, and E, it absorbs quickly and restores the skin's natural barrier without synthetic additives.

Found In
Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Oil

Regulates oil and seals in moisture

Jojoba is technically a wax ester, not an oil — which is why it behaves so similarly to the skin's own sebum. It helps regulate oil production, carries other nutrients deep into the skin, and extends the shelf life of the formula naturally.

Found In
Beeswax

Beeswax

Creates a breathable seal without clogging

Pure beeswax forms a protective layer on the skin's surface, locking in moisture and shielding against environmental damage. Unlike synthetic waxes, it allows the skin to breathe while still providing lasting protection.

Found In
Shea Butter

Shea Butter

Deep nourishment for even the roughest skin

Shea butter is packed with fatty acids and vitamins that deeply condition and soothe irritated or dry skin. It works alongside tallow to amplify hydration without feeling heavy or greasy.

Found In
Vitamin E

Vitamin E

Neutralizes free radicals and accelerates healing

Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that protects skin cells from oxidative damage. It also supports cell regeneration, helping to fade scars and smooth skin texture over time.

Found In
Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil

Antimicrobial cleansing without stripping

Cold-pressed coconut oil brings powerful antimicrobial and antifungal properties to the bar formula. It creates a rich, creamy lather that cleanses thoroughly while leaving a protective moisture layer — not the tight, stripped feeling of most soaps.

Found In
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Deep conditioning with zero compromise

Extra virgin olive oil is loaded with squalene, oleic acid, and antioxidants. It conditions and softens the skin deeply — ideal for men who shower in hot water or shave regularly.

Found In
Castor Oil

Castor Oil

Creates a thick, dense lather that lasts

Castor oil is the lathering agent in the bar formula — it creates a rich, creamy foam that spreads evenly on the skin. It also has mild antimicrobial properties and helps condition the skin during cleansing.

Frequently Asked

What is tallow and why use it on skin?

Tallow is rendered beef fat. It's been used for skin care for thousands of years across nearly every culture on earth. At a molecular level, tallow closely mirrors your skin's own sebum, which means your body absorbs and uses it rather than treating it as a foreign substance. It's not a trend — it's a return to what actually worked before the cosmetics industry replaced it with synthetic alternatives.

Will tallow clog my pores?

No. Tallow is non-comedogenic for most people. Because it mirrors the skin's natural oil, it absorbs quickly rather than sitting on top of pores. Many users with oily or acne-prone skin report that tallow actually helps balance oil production over time. If you have extremely reactive skin, start with a small test area.

Is it good for sensitive or acne-prone skin?

Yes. The same biocompatibility that makes tallow effective for healthy skin also makes it gentle on reactive or sensitive skin. Our formula avoids every known common irritant — no synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no alcohol, no emulsifying chemicals. The chamomile in THE BALM adds additional anti-inflammatory benefit for sensitive skin types.

How do I use The Balm?

Use the included spoon to scoop a small amount — pea-sized is enough for the face. Warm it between your fingertips for 3–5 seconds until it melts to an oil, then apply to clean, slightly damp skin. Works as a daily moisturizer, a post-shave treatment, a lip balm, or an all-over balm for rough areas like elbows and knuckles.

How do I use The Bar?

Lather in your hands or directly on skin under warm water. It produces a thick, creamy lather that rinses clean without leaving a film. The walnut shell powder provides mild exfoliation on every use. After showering, follow with The Balm for maximum benefit.

Why does grass-fed matter?

The fat composition of tallow depends entirely on what the animal ate. Grass-fed tallow has a significantly higher concentration of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, K, and E — plus conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and omega-3 fatty acids — compared to grain-fed tallow. The difference is measurable and shows up in the quality and efficacy of the product.

How long does each product last?

THE BALM (1oz) lasts 4–8 weeks with daily use on the face. Because a little goes a long way when warmed properly, most users find it lasts longer than expected. THE BAR (5.2oz) lasts 4–6 weeks with daily showering. Store both in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Are your products made in the USA?

Yes. Bull Tallow is based in Spring Hill, Tennessee and our products are manufactured domestically using USA-sourced ingredients. We don't outsource production overseas and we don't cut costs on sourcing.

What's the difference between The Balm and The Bar?

THE BALM is a concentrated moisturizer — applied to clean skin after washing, designed to hydrate, protect, and feed the skin throughout the day. THE BAR is a cleansing soap that removes dirt and dead skin while leaving the skin conditioned rather than stripped. They're designed to work together: wash with The Bar, moisturize with The Balm.
